Learn from experts in the college application process


The Carlsbad City Library is hosting a series of workshops over the next several weeks to help high school juniors and seniors navigate the road to college. The sessions will feature tips and information on applying to college, financial aid, and the admissions process.


College Prep Advice series 

Monday, Oct. 21 and 28, and Nov. 4 

5:30 to 7 p.m. 

Georgina Cole Library 

1250 Carlsbad Village Drive 

Topics include: 

  • Oct. 21: Navigating the College Application — Learn more about building a successful application and completing the admissions process from MiraCosta College outreach and diversity coordinator Gaby Love. 
  • Oct. 28: Hands-On Financial Aid Workshop —Get personalized help with financial aid applications for Fall 2025 from the MiraCosta College team.  
  • Nov. 4: Expert Tips on College Applications —Get application advice from Sage Creek and Carlsbad High counselors, including tips on essay writing, showcasing extracurriculars, and gathering recommendation letters. 

Pizza and refreshments will be provided.
