Link Crew

Link Crew is a program in place at high schools across the country where juniors and seniors who are good role models for younger students and who have been successful in high school become Link Leaders for incoming freshmen. We are looking for current Link Leaders, people that have been in leadership positions before, or people who want to make a difference on campus and gain life-long leadership skills.  Link Leaders display great communication skills, leadership potential, responsibility, and personality that helps them succeed in the high school environment. Link Leaders share the lessons they have learned in school and life to show freshmen how to succeed. In addition, they have a tremendous influence on our freshmen and will learn many valuable, life-long leadership skills in the process that will take them through high school, college, and beyond. Plus, it will be fun!

WHAT DOES A LINK LEADER DO?

Link Leaders are trained to work with the incoming freshman class. After the extensive training, the Link Leaders will run freshman orientation before school starts in August. At the orientation, each Link Leader will be given a small group of freshmen to work with that day and will be asked to befriend and to help that group during the first week of school with any challenges they may face. During Advisory, Link Leaders will meet again with their student groups to touch base, discuss problems, and participate in social activities. The more contact a freshman has with her/his Link Leader, the more successful the freshman will be.
