What is the difference between Surf Club or Team?  

The Surf Club is for all surfers/body boarders who want to join us at our weekly surf practices, watch contests and be a part of our surf trips and events. The Surf Team is the same except that its members compete in the SSS contests against other high schools. 

What is the level of competition to be part of the Surf Team?

Surfers with all levels of experience are welcome to compete with us! From beginners to airs, every surfer that catches a wave during the heats gives our team a chance to earn points. 

When do we meet to surf? 

Practices will run from mid-October until April. There will be one practice per week after school at a local break for all surfers, then one contest per month at different breaks ranging from Ocean Beach, to Oceanside.

For team practices, we meet every Thursday at 3:30 - 5:00 at Dips Surf Spot in Carlsbad.
