Our Mission
To provide a vigorous, enjoyable, and safe physical education environment.
Our Vision
Sage Creek Physical Education Department is committed to provide a rigorous, enjoyable and safe physical education environment. Students will be exposed to a variety of sports and activities that will help build different skill sets that will help build better physical fitness. Students will also be exposed to physiological and sociological concepts and principles that will be integrated into team sports, dualistic and individual sports.
Students will also learn items that related to health, drugs, nutrition, personal wellness and sex education to meet CUSD health standards.
PE Updates
We are excited to announce that we will be integrating new heart rate monitors into many of our PE classes in the upcoming weeks. The IHT Spirit Heart Rate Monitor system was generously funded by the Carlsbad Education Foundation. The addition of these heart rate monitors will help students begin to understand work capacity and cardiovascular load on the body. Every day the students use the heart rate monitors, they will be able to see their heart rate and the zones they are reaching. At the end of class, students will have a heart rate report emailed to them with their heart rates throughout the period. From these heart rate monitors & reports we can show students how to get in better cardiovascular shape, have better increased movement and hopefully increased motivation to do better for themselves.

Sage Creek P.E. Heart Rate Monitors and programs like these are made possible by generous donors and private support through Carlsbad Educational Foundation. Learn about our partnership with Carlsbad Educational Foundation and how you can help by visiting the Carlsbad Educational Foundation website.
