Happy Friday Bobcats!

I'm so excited to promote that Mariachi Nuevo Amanecer, CUSD's Mariachi Club, will have its first meeting next Monday, September 14th from 4:30-6:00 in my classroom, room 5003!  

This is our second year of collaborating with Carlsbad High School as we celebrate the music and culture throughout Mexico.  We are looking for new members and hope you'll consider joining us. No prior music experience is necessary, nor is being fluent in Spanish.  Together, we'll learn to sing in Spanish and play instruments such as Violin, Trumpet, Guitar, Vihuela, Guitarrón, and possibly even harp!  

Thanks to a generous grant from the Carlsbad Educational Foundation, we'll be expanding the club this year to learn more music.

Please attend our first meeting even if you're just considering joining; it will be an opportunity to connect with our community and learn more about the club.
