Reminder - 2025-26 Athletic Clearance

Bobcats,

Athletic clearance for the 25-26 school year is now OPEN!  Athletic clearance is required each school year, even for returning athletes.  All athletic clearance paperwork must be submitted for a student-athlete to receive a digital Ticket 2 Play.  Once the Athletic Department has reviewed and confirmed athletic clearance, a digital Ticket 2 Play will be distributed through the Minga App as a "sticker".  Additionally, a roster of all cleared students will be provided to the Head Coach of the Program prior to the initial tryout date.  Incoming 9th grade students who do not have access to the Minga app will use their email confirmation from Home Campus as their Ticket 2 Play for the 25-26 Fall Season. Athletic Clearance applications for Fall sports will be reviewed and approved throughout June, July, and August. 

Athletes will not be permitted to attend tryouts and or practices until they have been cleared by the athletic department.  

To start the athletic clearance process log onto www.athleticclearance.com.  Select the 2025-26 school year, and Sage Creek High School.  Students must complete the athletic clearance process by the due dates listed below.

Athletic Clearance Due Dates for the 2025-26 School Year:

Fall Sports: June 4, 2025

Girls Tennis, Girls Golf, Girls Volleyball, Field Hockey, Cross Country, Girls Flag Football, Boys Water Polo

Winter Sports:  October 15, 2025

Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Wrestling, Girls Water Polo

Spring Sports: January 14, 2026 

Boys Volleyball, Track and Field, Baseball, Softball, Swim and Dive, Boys Tennis, Boys Golf, Girls Lacrosse, Boys Lacrosse 

Forms Required for the 2025-26 School Year:

• CUSD Physical Form (signed, stamped, and dated by a MD, DO, PA, NP- (uploaded to online system)

  • Physicals are valid for 1 calendar year and must be valid through the entire season of play to be accepted. 

• Proof of Insurance (uploaded to online system).  Athletes must be covered by health/medical insurance. Insurance may be purchased through Carlsbad Unified School District for specific coverage.

Additionally, please note that Sage Creek High School will not be participating in the Carlsbad High School Physical event this year. Please make plans to secure a current physical from your medical provider with signature/stamp and date.
