Interested in broadcast journalism? Have a love of writing? Into photography? Are you a social media expert? Join Sage Creek's award-winning multimedia journalism program, The Sage, for the 2025-2026 school year! 


In February, The Sage News earned the coveted title of School Newspapers Online (SNO) Distinguished Site for writing and media and was only the 26th school to do so nationwide. 

In March, students took gold in the Crazy 8's Morning Show Contest at the School Television Network (STN) Convention in Tampa, Florida, and our weekly broadcast won silver for Outstanding Achievement in Broadcast Excellence. 

Now you can join this award-winning program and even join us to compete again in Tampa in 2026!

Multimedia Journalism is a student-driven elective course that grants students the opportunity to develop and share their voices through digital photo, writing, broadcast journalism, and more.

In addition to the above skills, students will get the chance to participate in school events, engage with our local community, explore relevant issues, and hold leadership positions, all things that make you look great on college apps or resumes.


The Sage is a 1st Period class and requires a commitment of all three trimesters. We'll prioritize students who can commit for the whole year. However, if you can only fit two trimesters into your schedule, you can still join the course as long as one of those trimesters is the first trimester (Multimedia Journalism A).


To join the program, follow BOTH steps:

          1. Register for Multimedia Journalism on your Course Request form

          2. Complete this application by Friday, April 4th
