Upcoming Campus Events

• This Thursday and Friday, December 4th and 5th at 7pm, come see Sage Creek Dance company and Dance 1 in their winter showcase, “Emerge”, featuring tons of fun choreography from professional choreographers, alumni and collegiate dancers, and our very own students. You won’t want to miss this! Tickets available on GoFan. 

• Juniors and Seniors - Are you looking for ways to fund your Genius Project?  Apply for the SCHS PTSA Student Grant!  Students can receive up to $300. You must be a PTSA member to apply -  SCHS PTSA Student Grant Form

• Hey Bobcats!! Do you want to learn to make some holiday treats?  Sign up with friends and join us after school on Wednesday, December 10th, in Room 3207 at 2:40 pm. The December Bobcat Cooking Class is one of our most popular, so please sign up today! Space is Limited.

• ASB is hosting its annual lunch time dodgeball tournament beginning on December 8th. If you want to put a team together in hopes of competing against the Staff in the Final round then fill out this form as soon as possible. 

• ASB is already hard at work planning our Hoopcoming Event and we want some input from our student body. This year, our goal is to have our theme carry across the entire event: Spirit Week, Rally, Lunch/After School Activities, Dance, etc. We have four great ideas that we are considering but would love to get your insight. Please weigh in here. This will close at the end of the day Wednesday.

• Minga Reward Redemption will begin this month! Stay tuned for redemption days and times! Congrats to our current Bobcats on the MINGA LEADERBOARD!

• Toys for Tots: ASB will officially begin taking new, unwrapped toys in the front office beginning until Friday, December 12th. Help us support local military families this year :)

• Join us for the Air Force ROTC Scholarship informational meeting at lunch today in the Counseling Center. At this meeting, the Air Force ROTC Scholarship Rep will help students learn more about the incredible educational and leadership opportunities available through Air Force ROTC.

• Students, if you want to gift a friend in the upcoming dance show,  support the Genius Project “over the rainbow” and buy them a Hawaiian Lei. Please see the flyer in Student Square for more details. 

Club, Sports, and Team Update

• We have HUGE cross country news. First, a historic congratulations to Josiah Bowman, who WON the Division 4 California State Cross Country Championship. He is the first State cross country champion in Sage Creek history and the only Division 4 boys champion in San Diego history. His incredible 15:03 is the fastest time ever run by a Sage Creek athlete and one of the fastest Division 4 winning times ever. Congratulations, Josiah!

The boys team also finished State Runner Up, running the fastest team time in San Diego history across all divisions, making them the number one San Diego team of all time!

Boys individual highlights:
Max finished 11th with a huge PR at 15:22.
Grant, only a sophomore, ran 15:31 for 14th.
Eli ran 15:55, the fastest freshman time in school history.
Strong performances from Tanner, Colton, and Ryan helped secure the team trophy.

Our girls team also made history, finishing third in the state and running the fastest team time in all of San Diego!

Girls individual highlights:
 Izzie, a freshman, finished 8th with an impressive 17:40.
 Chloe earned 12th place with a big breakthrough at 17:54.
 Bea, another freshman standout, placed 27th in 18:32.
 Strong races from Ailey, Anna, Josie, and Rea sealed the podium finish.

Congrats to all our Sage Creek cross country athletes on a truly historic State Meet.

• Congratulations to Boys Basketball on their victory vs Steele Canyon last night! Final Score: 61-30. They have a triple header tomorrow vs Santa Fe Christian. Boys Frosh will play at 4:00pm, Boys JV will play at 5:30pm, and Varsity will play at 7:00pm. Come out to show your support!

• Girls Soccer plays their first scrimmage of the season tomorrow at home vs RBV. Game time is 5:00pm. Come cheer them on!
