School Site Council Request for Nominations
Good Evening Sage Creek High School,
We have one vacancy on our School Site Council for the 2025-2027 term. School Site Council (SSC) is a group of administrators, teachers, parents, and students that identify ways to support the SCHS community by providing leadership, direction, and support. SSC defines school priorities and implements ways to improve them. Some of our most important tasks are reviewing and approving the school safety plan and the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). Our SSC meets multiple times a year, in the evening for one hour. Our first meeting is on October 30th, at 5pm.
Council members are elected for two (2) year terms with an option to serve a maximum of two consecutive 2-year terms.
We are currently opening up requests for nominations for one parent position beginning this school year. Any parents interested in serving for the next two years need to submit a request for nomination by emailing Ashley Roberson (ashley.roberson@carlsbadusd.net) with a brief statement of applicable experience. This brief statement (2-3 sentences) will be shared with SCHS parents for elections the week of October 20-24.
