CUSD Community Service Graduation Requirement

🎓  Reminder:
To graduate, all SCHS students must complete 20 hours of community service!
✅ What Counts: (Examples) 

• Volunteering with nonprofits, schools, senior centers, hospitals, human society, etc.
• Helping at community events or service clubs (Key Club, NHS, etc.)
• Service projects (food drives, community aid, etc.)

• Paid work
• Family chores- sorry 
• Anything without adult supervisor verification

• Complete the Community Service Form (available in Counseling office or the website)
• Get your supervisor’s signature
• Submit to the Counseling Office or email to: melody.gutches@carlsbadusd.net

• Don’t wait—knock out your hours early!
• Check ParentSquare ( use the search bar "community service" )
• Extra hours = stronger college & scholarship applications
• Keep a copy of all your hours ( We do not add these to your college transcripts )
