STEM Outreach Event: UCSD EDGE Girls' Day Out 2025 - Saturday, April 26th from 9am - 3pm @ UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering

Posted Date: 4/01/25 (6:15 PM)

UCSD EDGE, a mentorship program led by the Society of Women Engineers and Women in Computing at UC San Diego, will be hosting our largest event of the year, Girl's Day Out, on Saturday, April 26th, from 9am - 3:15pm. Girl's Day Out is a free, all-day conference-style event on UCSD campus in which high school female and non-binary high school students from the San Diego area will have the opportunity to take part in hands-on engineering and computing workshops to build their own projects!
These projects are focused on providing students with the ability to explore computing, engineering, and other STEM concepts through various workshops that will be led by UCSD’s very own professors and student-run engineering organizations. We are asking students to arrive at 9am so that we can start the event at 9:30am. Lunch will be provided!

We will be holding two virtual info sessions:
Info Session #1: Wednesday April 2nd 7 PM
Info Session #2: Tuesday April 8th 7:30 PM

The EDGE program directors will be presenting information about Girls' Day Out, as well as being available to ask any questions that students or parents may have. Both info sessions will present the same information, and the first virtual info session is happening this Wednesday. If you are a prospective GDO attendee or parent of a student who is interested in attending GDO, we highly encourage you to join us!
